Reorder level (minimum stock) calculator
How low can an item go before you must order again? Enter the daily sale, the days the supplier takes and a safety cushion.
How it works.
Reorder level = average daily sale × (lead time days + safety days). Suggested order quantity = average daily sale × the days of stock you want to cover.
Use a longer safety cushion for items that sell fast or that suppliers deliver late. In Dukkan Bill you can set this minimum for each warehouse and get a low stock alert when an item reaches it.
Common questions.
What are safety days?
Extra days of stock kept to cover a late delivery or a sudden rise in sales.
Should every warehouse have the same minimum?
No. A busy shop needs a higher minimum than a godown that only refills other shops. Set the level for each warehouse.
